Schedule & tasks
Plan phases, assign tasks, and track field progress on a Gantt or task board.
Schedule overview
Tenon’s schedule gives you a Gantt view and a task board in one place. Phases break the project into major milestones; tasks live inside phases and carry assignments, dates, and status.
Building a schedule
From your project, click Schedule. Create phases first — rough framing, MEP rough-in, drywall, finishes — then add tasks within each phase. Drag tasks on the Gantt to shift dates. Tenon automatically flags tasks that can’t start because a predecessor isn’t done.
Assigning tasks
Each task can have one or more assignees from your project team. Assigned crew members see their tasks in the mobile app under My tasks, so they always know what’s up next.
Daily progress
Field crews mark tasks In progress or Complete from mobile. PMs see the live update on the Gantt without chasing anyone. When a task is blocked, crew can leave a note that shows up in the project activity feed.
Constraints
Use Constraints to log anything blocking progress — a material delay, a pending RFI, an inspection that hasn’t been scheduled. Each constraint links to a task, shows its impact on the schedule, and closes when you mark it resolved.
Integrations with daily logs
Tasks automatically appear in the day’s daily log. When a foreman fills out the log, they can check off tasks worked on that day, which updates task progress without double entry.
