Daily logs
Capture on-site conditions, manpower, and progress with one structured log per day.
What daily logs are for
A daily log is your site’s official daily record — weather, crew counts, work performed, deliveries, delays, and photos. Tenon creates one per project per day. Filling it out takes 5–10 minutes and gives you the documentation trail you need for disputes, lien waivers, and owner reporting.
Filling out a log
Tap Daily Logs from mobile (or the sidebar on desktop) and select today’s date. The log includes:
- Weather — auto-populated from location, editable
- Crew & hours — manpower count per trade
- Work performed — free-form notes on what was done; links to tasks automatically
- Deliveries — material arrivals logged with supplier and quantity
- Delays — any stoppage and its reason
- Photos — taken in-app and attached directly to the log entry
- Visitors — owner, architect, inspector visits
Sharing with clients
From the log, click Share to send a PDF or portal link to your client or GC contact. The portal shows only the logs you choose to share — you control visibility.
Using logs in disputes
Because each log captures weather, crew count, and notes with a timestamp, Tenon’s log history is your best defense when a delay or change-order dispute arises. Export a date range as a PDF package in one click.
