What Sage does

Sage is Tenon’s AI assistant, built into every page of the app. You can ask Sage questions about your projects in plain language and get back direct, specific answers — not generic responses. Sage reads your live project data: tasks, budgets, logs, decisions, timesheets, and more.

How to use Sage

Click the chat icon at the bottom right of any page to open Sage. Type your question and hit enter. Examples of what Sage handles well:

What Sage can’t do

Sage can read and summarize your data, draft text, and answer questions — but it can’t take actions on your behalf (yet). Approving timesheets, signing off on a change order, or deleting records still requires you to click the button.

Privacy and data

Sage only has access to data in your Tenon workspace. It does not share your data with other companies or use it to train AI models. All Sage conversations are scoped to your company account.

Getting better answers

The more context in your project data, the better Sage gets. Fill out daily logs consistently, close decisions promptly, and keep task statuses current — Sage will reward you with sharper insights.
