Your books update
when you approve the work.
Tenon pushes approved invoices, bills, and expenses to QuickBooks Online automatically. Your bookkeeper sees the records the moment you approve them — no exports, no re-keying.
Three steps. Then it runs itself.
Connect once
Authorize Tenon from Settings → Integrations. Takes 30 seconds. Tokens are stored server-side — you never re-authenticate.
Approve in Tenon
Mark an invoice, bill, or expense as approved. Tenon pushes it to QuickBooks Online automatically — no copy-pasting.
Bookkeeper sees it instantly
Your bookkeeper logs into QuickBooks and finds the records already there — correctly categorized and dated.
Every financial record from the field — in QuickBooks.
Secure OAuth. You stay in control.
Tenon uses QuickBooks' official OAuth 2.0 flow. Your credentials never touch our servers — only the access token Intuit issues after you authorize. Revoking access from Tenon immediately calls the QuickBooks Revoke Access API and deletes the stored token.

Frequently asked
What QuickBooks data does Tenon access?
Tenon requests read/write access to Customers, Invoices, Bills, Items (products & services), and Accounts. It does not access payroll data, employee records, banking credentials, or tax filings.
Is my QuickBooks data private?
Tenon never stores your QuickBooks credentials. We hold only the OAuth access token Intuit issues, which is encrypted at rest. We only read or write records you explicitly trigger — there is no background scraping.
How often does Tenon sync with QuickBooks Online?
Syncs are event-driven, not scheduled. Tenon pushes a record to QuickBooks when you approve it in Tenon — invoices, bills, and expenses land in QuickBooks within seconds of approval.
What happens when I disconnect?
Tenon immediately calls the Intuit Revoke Access API and deletes the stored token. No further pushes occur. Records already in QuickBooks remain untouched — disconnecting from Tenon does not delete anything from your QuickBooks account.
Can I reconnect after disconnecting?
Yes. Go to Settings → Integrations → QuickBooks Online and click Connect. You will re-authorize via Intuit's OAuth flow and be reconnected in about 30 seconds.

One less thing your foreman has to remember.
Tenon is built by a working contractor. The QuickBooks sync exists because we got tired of Tuesday-night data entry.
